Smith Optics NOVEMBER FEATURED ATHLETE : Bobby Brown
BOBBY BROWN IS COMING OFF A BREAKOUT SEASON IN 2009 IN WHICH THE 18 YEAR OLD SKIER BUSTED ON TO THE SCENE WITH A VICTORY AT THE BRECKENRIDGE STOP OF THE DEW TOUR, A GUTSY X GAMES PERFORMANCE, AND A SEASON OF FILMING WITH MSP FILMS. THESE IMPRESSIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS EARNED BOBBY A TON OF ACCOLADES, INCLUDING THE SMITH OPTICS' NOVEMBER ATHLETE OF THE MONTH!
With his magical season now a memory, Bobby Brown is showing no signs of a sophomore slump as he has been a force in the summertime and pre season slopestyle and big air contests. A few months ago in August, Bobby travelled from his home in Colorado to the wintery slopes of New Zealand to compete in both the NZ Freeski Open as well as the NZ Winter Games. Netting a 1st and 3rd place respectively, Bobby proved that he is ready to play with the best. His hard work carried over into the fall, as he attended a few showings of the east coast MSP premiers before heading over to compete in several European big air comps, taking home 2nd place at the London Freeze Big Air event with a mute grab dub 12 poke. With Bobby's home mountain of Breckenridge set to open this week, you can be sure this hardworking Smith Phenom TF ski goggle will be lapping the park daily, getting ready for this winter's full schedule of competing, filming, and promoting Smith Optics. Keep an eye on Bobby Brown, Smith Optics' November athlete of the month.
