The Scott Artist Series Mike Stilkey Aura goggles are a 2010/11 season, limited edition piece designed by renowned artist Mike Stilkey, specially for Scott. Los Angeles native Mike Stilkey has always been attracted to painting and drawing not only on vintage paper, record covers and books pages, but on books themselves. Using a mix of ink, coloured pencil, paint and lacquer, Stilkey depicts a melancholic and at times whimsical cast of characters inhabiting ambiguous spaces and narratives of fantasy, wit and mystery. Stilkey’s work has appeared in numerous groups shows in Los Angeles, including BLK/MRKT Gallery, Curio 69 Gallery, Artpiece Gallery and Gallery 1988. This goggle design is a culmination of some of Stilkey’s latest work. The SCOTT Design team worked closely with Stilkey to create a composition that showcases his unique style. This Limited Edition piece is of SCOTT’s highest calibre and is packaged and presented accordingly. The Scott Artist Series Mike Stilkey Aura Ski Goggles are a vibrant and eye catching goggle. This goggle is helmet compatible, for optimum safety, and features a flexible strap clip for an improved helmet fit. The Aura is manufactured to fit perfectly with the feminine face. The Scott Aura offers a Hypoallergenic, coloured 3-layer face foam for a precise and comfortable fit that seals out the elements. Scott Aura Ski Goggles offer a spherical SCOTT OptiView Double lens. Scott’s proprietary spherical injection molded process guarantees that every OptiView lens is optically correct, durable and blocks 100% of harmful UV rays. OptiView lenses are comfortable, lightweight, and resistant to impact. Spherical lenses offer a greater degree of both horizontal and vertical peripheral vision allowing skiers and boarders to move only their eyes on the slopes to achieve optimal vision. Scott lenses guarantee 100% UVA/UVB/UVC radiation protection and have a No Fog Anti-Fog lens treatment to prevent condensation and fogging. Whilst the Air Control System (ACS) aids the prevention of condensation and fogging by incorporating ventilation lens air intake vents on the lens of the goggle with air outtake frame vents on the bottom of the goggle.
