The Adidas Elevation A278 is a stylish wraparound sports sunglass model designed for everyday use. It is lightweight, comfortable, close fitting, and its extensive curvature not only provides the widest range of vision, but also ensures optimal protection for the wearer. The Elevation Pro is best suited to larger face sizes.
The Elevation Pro frame itself is made from SPX, a renowned material whose exceptional properties ensure flexibility, scratch and abrasion resistance, and long durability. In addition to this, a soft yet gripping material has been integrated into the temples to ensure an optimum non-slip, stable yet pressure free fit. The inclusion of a double snap nose bridge provides double level height adjustment of the nose bridge to suit the individual wearer. Rather than risk the frame becoming damaged, Adidas have incorporated their patented quick-release hinge system into the design of the Elevation A278 sunglasses, which ensures that the temples release under exertion of impact force. The sunglass temples are also fitted with the Adidas Tri.Fit system, which not only provides three level height adjustments to ensure the optimal fit for each wearer, but also eradicates the dazzling effects of light rays. The Adidas Elevation is sold with one set of lenses as standard, but additional lenses, providing a broad spectrum of different tint options, can be purchased separately, which merely enhances the versatility of this sunglasses model. Adidas favour the use of polycarbonate lenses in the manufacture of their sunglasses due to their scratch and high impact resistance; they also ensure optimal vision combined with total protection from UVA, B and C radiation. The Elevation A278 sunglasses are also able to accommodate a prescription optical clip-in, which allows our expert laboratory technicians to meet the requirements of the majority of clients.
All Adidas sunglasses are sold with a two-year manufacturers warranty as standard. The Adidas Elevation A278 sunglasses are supplied with one pair of lenses, a lined protective hard case; a drawstring soft cloth case is also supplied as a lightweight alternative, which is recommended as suitable for the correct care of the lenses.
Adidas have created easy to fit/remove sunglass optical inserts that can accommodate a wide range of prescription requirements. The Optical Clip-In a731 is designed to sit securely behind the tinted sunglass lens to provide visual acuity.
Please note, that due to legal restrictions it is not possible for us to accept prescription orders for young people under the age of 16 years. However, in such instances we can supply an un-glazed insert for you to take to your optician. For all other prescriptions requests, our Customer Services Team will gladly assist you in any way possible.
In order to complete prescription work, we will require a copy of your full prescription, in its original format (i.e. as supplied by your practitioner/optician). This must be no more than two years old, and contain your Pupil Distance (PD) measurement, which if not supplied automatically can be requested from your optician. Please be aware that the policies of different practitioners do vary in relation to the PD measurement, and some may apply a small fee for this information. On some occasions we may request additional measurements, this is assessed on a case-by-case basis and depends on individual prescriptions, our Customer Service Team will contact you in this event. A copy of your prescription should be emailed, faxed or posted to us once you have placed your order.
Please note, that we offer a single vision glazing service only and use different lens materials depending upon the prescription requirements of the client. Should you have additional or alternate glazing requirements to those advertised (ie high index lenses or lens coatings), please do not hesitate to ask, and we will always endeavour to accommodate your needs. Such alternate requests will be quoted on an individual basis.
We endeavour to complete prescription requests within one business week, from the point of receipt of all necessary paperwork and measurements. Our Customer Service Team will advise you if there is likely to be delay with your request.
