The vital importance of the correct eyewear cannot be underestimated, and the new top model in the adidas eyewear running collection, the adiZERO, has been specifically created to meet the many demands of the athlete.
The adiZERO is a very versatile, lightweight and comfortable wrap around sports sunglass model available in two sizes. The larger model, adiZERO a170, weighs a mere 22g, and the smaller version, the adiZERO a171, weighs only 20g. The frame itself is made from SPX, a renowned material whose exceptional properties ensure flexibility, scratch and abrasion resistance, and long durability.
The adiZERO sunglasses also feature an innovative S-shape curve arm design that is new to adidas, and has been incorporated into the frame along with Traction Grip™ technology, a soft yet gripping material integrated into the temples to ensure optimum comfort and non-slip wear. These features ensure that the adiZERO provides a stable yet pressure free fit. The S-shape curve arm design also ensures that the adiZERO sunglasses can be worn comfortably under a cap or a visor.
The inclusion of a double snap nose bridge provides double level height adjustment of the nose bridge to suit the individual wearer. Rather than risk the frame becoming damaged, adidas have incorporated their patented quick-release hinge system into the design of the adiZERO sunglasses, which ensures that the temples release under exertion of impact force. The sunglass temples of the adiZERO model are also fitted with the adidas Tri.Fit system, which not only provides three level height adjustments to ensure the optimal fit for each wearer, but also eradicates the dazzling effects of light rays.
The adiZERO sunglasses are available with various lens options as standard, but adidas have primarily focused on incorporating lenses that feature LST (Light Stabilising Technology) capabilities as these help to reduce the eye fatigue that can be so trying to runners.
It is worth noting the LST polarised and LST Vario lenses in particular as respectively they are excellent for use around reflective surfaces/adjust their depth of tint in relation to the weather conditions to which they are exposed. Additional lenses for the adiZERO sunglasses, providing a broad spectrum of different tint options and technical specifications can be purchased separately, which merely enhances the versatility of this sunglasses model. Adidas favour the use of polycarbonate lenses in the manufacture of their sunglasses due to their high impact resistance; they also ensure optimal vision combined with total protection from UVA, B and C radiation.
The adiZERO sunglasses are also able to accommodate a prescription optical clip-in, which allows our expert laboratory technicians to meet the requirements of the majority of clients.

All Adidas sunglasses are sold with a two-year manufacturers warranty as standard. The Adidas adiZERO sunglasses are supplied with a drawstring soft cloth case, which is recommended as suitable for the correct care of the lenses and a protective hard case.
Adidas have created easy to fit/remove sunglass inserts that can accommodate a wide range of prescription requirements. The Adidas Sunglasses - Optical Clip-In a779 sits securely behind the tinted sunglasses lens, and provides visual acuity.
Please note that due to legal restrictions it is not possible for us to accept prescription orders for young people under the age of 16 years. However, in such instances we will happily supply an un-glazed insert for you to take to your optician. For all other prescriptions requests, we will gladly assist you in any way possible.
In order that we can undertake the prescription work we will require a copy of your full prescription in its official format (ie as supplied by your practitioner), which must be in date to within the last two years. Please rest assured that a photocopied/emailed version is perfectly acceptable. We will also require your Pupil Distance (PD) measurement, which if not supplied automatically by your practitioner may be requested from them. Please be aware that the policies of different practitioners do vary in relation to this measurement, and some may apply a small fee.
On some occasions we may request additional measurements depending upon the prescription that is presented, but this is addressed on a case-by-case basis, and our Customer Service Team will happily assist you with any queries that you may have. Please note that we offer a single vision glazing service only and use different lens materials depending upon the prescription requirements of the client. Should you have additional or alternate glazing requirements to those advertised (ie high index lenses or lens coatings), please do not hesitate to ask, and we will always endeavour to accommodate your needs. Such alternate requests will be quoted on an individual basis.
In terms of the completion timeline that you can anticipate, we will endeavour to fulfil your request as promptly as possible. Generally, unless advised otherwise, completion can be expected within one business week from the point we receive all of the necessary measurements.
