The Bolle Fathom high performance goggle. Bolle Fathom goggles are packed full of features that make it ideal for beginners and winter sports enthusiasts alike. The Bolle Fathom is a unisex model that is best suited to people who have small to medium face sizes, and is available in an array of colours ranging from vibrant to more subtle shades.
All of the lenses featured in the Fathom provide 100% protection from harmful UVA and UVB radiation. To ensure superior optical quality, the double lenses, which are available in a variety of tints, are all made from polycarbonate, which whilst not indestructible is high impact resistant and therefore ideal for winter sports use. Bolle also apply P80 Plus to their lenses, which is a proprietary coating that provides maximum protection against lens fogging and most scratching.
In terms of lens design, Bolle have opted for a spherical style, which is highly popular with skiers and boarders alike as it helps to ensure a wide field of vision. The Bolle Fathom features Flow-Tech Venting, ensuring optimal airflow over the inside of the lens; to further reduce fogging and optimise the flow of air, the Fathom features venting ports that are designed in such a way as to prevent clogging from snow and ice. Bolle have put a lot of thought into the prevention of unwanted misting, and have also incorporated an Equalizer Vent into the lens. This uses a waterproof, breathable vent to help eliminate any moisture. This helps to ensure distortion free vision and no fogging at any altitude.
The Triple Layer Face Foam ensures a comfortable well padded fit, with an ultra soft fleece being the only material on your face, and this combined with the Bolle Forestay System, which features a swinging outrigger to ensure a perfect fit with helmets makes the Fathom goggle an ideal choice for all day use on the slopes.
Bolle have also designed the Fathom to accommodate a prescription optical insert (please refer to the bottom of this page for details), which can be configured to meet a wide range of correction requirements. The insert sits securely behind the tinted goggle lens to provide excellent visual acuity.
