adidas Terrex uses high-quality filter technology manufactured using a light, scratchproof and virtually unbreakable polycarbonate. They increase contrast and offset rapid variations in light and shade. The Vision Advantage PC filters provide 100% protection against UVA/UVB/UVC rays. The Light Stabilising Technology (LST) Active lens has a brightening effect while increasing light absorption and contast. LST Contrast Gold lens also offers optimal contrast against green. Terrex is also available with Polarised lenses, which eliminates light given off by reflective surfaces such as water and snow.
The Terrex frame is manufactured using light, temperature resistant SPX frame material for optimal comfort. This innovative frame design, the 8-base wrap of the lenses and broad temples provide a close fit around the eyes. Using the TRI.FIT system, the temples can be adjusted to three positions, and the Double-Snap Nose Bridge can be set at two levels. In addition, a Quick Release Hinge system ensures that the temples come away rather than breaking when subjected to excessive force. While a Traction Grip material at the end of the temples allows the frame to sit securely and comfortably. Due to the flat temples the Terrex is also comfortable to wear under a helmet.
