Adidas has been involved with the Olympic games since 1928 when the founder of Adidas, Adi Dassler produced a range of products for the athletes in the Amsterdam Olympic Games. At the Beijing Olympic Games earlier this year, Adidas were once again the proud sponsors and outfitted 27 of the 28 Olympic sports and sixteen Olympic teams including the very successful Team GB.
This year, for the very first time, Adidas have launched the products worn by the athletes and have made them available to buy from retail outlets.
Adidas have created a line of eyewear suitable for a variety of sports including cycling, running and golf. The sunglasses are produced with the athlete in mind and are designed with rugged, innovative features in order to meet the strict requirements of the serious athlete.
Eyewear is essential with outdoor sports due to the barriers the athletes face such as sunlight, wind, rain, insects and dust. With this in mind, the range produced by Adidas for the Olympic athletes has been inspired by the Beijing Olympic architecture alongside the sport-specific technologies.
